Notes:

  • Midterm I does cover the material from Week 06.
  • Unit 01 - Essential problems list
    • Focus your exam study on mastery of these first, then move to everything else.
    • This list is not an indicator about what will be on the exam. Everything in the Notes is fair game. But it is a good idea to make sure you completely master these problems before you study material that is less central and fundamental.

  • The Final Exam is cumulative, it covers all material from the course.
  • The Final Exam is taken together with all sections of APMA 3100.
    • It will have a different feel from the Midterms because those are written by your Section instructor.
    • In the past, the instructor’s methods have prepared students to perform well on the common final. (Including when the other sections use Mastery-based grading.)

Pre-course Review

Efficiently refresh your knowledge of relevant calculus and probability.

Some computing required:

  • Before the Project (due by course end), dig out your resources to review Python or MATLAB or Java (or whatever language / environment you have studied)

Note: homework solutions are posted in batches after each Discussion, or prior to an exam (after the due date).
