Final exam - practice tests
Each practice final 01-03 will be worth 0.25% or 0.50% (course grade) as an extra-credit bonus.
- Practice final 01: bonus will be placed in your Midterm 01 score category.
- Practice final 02: bonus will be placed in your Midterm 02 score category.
- Practice final 03: bonus will be placed in your HW score category.
(Max of 100% in each of these categories.)
Instructions:
Print out the practice test. (Test 01 will be given to you and started on Wednesday.) Take the test in an uninterrupted 2:00 hour block of time. (Set yourself a timer. This is 1hr shorter than the real test.) Do not attempt problems that you are not reasonably confident about.
Now open the solutions file and grade the problems that you finished. Label these problems with “A.” Write your score on each problem, add up, and write the total score for “A” on the front page.
Now try to complete the remaining problems on your own time. Then grade these problems. Label with “B” the ones you could finish largely correctly without the solutions, on your own time, and put the “B” score on the front page too.
Finally, study the solutions for the remaining problems (where you really got stuck) and then write out your own version of the solution, and label these problems with “C.”
Scan and submit the document on Gradescope.
Credit will accrue as follows: 0.25% for “completion,” meaning that you appeared to follow instructions. 0.50% for “good completion,” meaning that your solutions seem to demonstrate understanding, being written well in your own voice.
Practice final 01 - due Thu 12-04 11:59pm
Solutions Practice final 02 - due Wed 12-10 11:59pm
Solutions Practice final 03 - due Sat 12-13 11:59pm
Solutions One additional test for the stalwart. (No submission, no credit, just practice.)
