APMA 1110 | Sections 001, 002
Homework Instructions
Problem sets are typically due in two batches, both on Gradescope.
- Stepwise problems are typically due on Thursday night, 11:59pm
- You must explicitly list out and annotate “steps” for your solutions. Follow the pattern:
- “StepNumber, EnglishWord(s), MathEquation(s), repeat.”
- The EnglishWord(s) should be a few words stating what is accomplished in the MathEquation(s).
- It is reasonable to provide 2-5 steps for most solutions.
- You don’t need to divide into multiple steps the techniques you learned in prior math courses.
- Regular problems are typically due on Sunday night, 11:59pm
- You must show your work, such as you would on a test.
- You do not need explicit steps and annotations for Regular problems.
Grading Rubric Explainer

- Occasionally errors are circled or comments left.
- Use regrade request to get a brief comment: write “please explain further”

- Before the test, focus your study on mastery of these first, then move to all the other Problems.
- All problems and topics are examinable. In no way does this list indicate which specific scenarios or concepts are more likely to appear on a test! The list is not changed to reflect the tests, it is updated rarely.
Integration strategies - extra practice
